On 28 July, PearWise attended the Innovation Leaders Network – Capital Conversations x Climate & Clean Tech Showcase, hosted by the South Australian Department of State Development.
The event brought together founders, investors and industry leaders to discuss venture capital, innovation and the future of climate technology. It concluded with a series of startup pitches from companies currently raising capital.
One insight stood out.
During the investor panel, Rachel Yang (Giant Leap) distilled investment readiness into two simple questions:
What impact does your solution create?
Who will buy it?
Everything else supports those two answers.
As we continue building BoardHive.app and growing PearWise Software Studio Adelaide, it's a valuable reminder that successful products aren't defined by features alone. They need to solve a real problem, create measurable value, and have a clearly identifiable customer.
The event also provided an opportunity to connect with several founders working on innovative technologies, including the team behind AspiraDAC, whose modular, solar-powered direct air capture solution was one of the companies presenting. We're now following up with several of those conversations to explore where PearWise can add value.
A big thank you to the South Australian Department of State Development for creating a space where founders, investors and innovators can exchange ideas and build meaningful connections. Every conversation like this helps sharpen not only our product, but also how we communicate its value.
One event. One clear lesson. Impact first. Customer second. Everything else follows.
